Exhibit “The Food Explorers"

Manhattan Public Library will host the Riley County Historical Society and Museum exhibit, “The Food Explorers and their Riley County Connections.”  in the main foyer entry from October 23 through November 21, 2018.

This free exhibit by Riley County Historical Museum Curator of Design Allana Parker, highlights the local connection to the ground-breaking work in food exploration and food safety recounted in the book “The Food Explorer: The True Adventures of the Globe-Trotting Botanist Who Transformed What America Eats.”  

The exhibit is free and open regular Manhattan Public Library hours.

This exhibit is  part of the Kansas State University Science Communication Week activities sponsored by the Kansas State University Global Food Systems Initiative.
